Wise Trees
by Diane Cook and Len Jenshel
Of course landscape photography would include trees - and what a spectacular set of visuals by Diane Cook and Len Jenshel. These American based photographers have been published in National Geographic, Conde Nast Traveler, Audubon, The New Yorker, and Fortune to name just a few periodicals.
In this book, you will find iconic trees from Luna, the Coastal Redwood in California, to the Bodhi Tree, the sacred fig in India that is a direct descendent of the tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment, to a camphor tree in Nagasaki that endured the atomic bomb. All of the trees were carefully selected for their role and place in time with historical events.
Not everyone has the time to travel to 59 sites across five continents to photograph some of the world’s most historic and inspirational trees, but they have and their images bring these trees to light for all of us.
