Not only are the visuals stunning, but in this book we learn about the history of forests, from the underbrush to seedlings and thickets to name a few aspects. But trees - how incredible they are and when they make up forests, they become an interconnected eco-system, supporting each other, sharing nutrients and often finding ways to survive in all elements.
Several of Lewis’s books are featured here and this one is arguably one of his best. It makes sense as he has served as chair of the Natural History Museum Wildlife Photographer of the Year award.
